Benefits of CHED Scholarship 2023
The CHED Scholarship 2023 aims to promote relevant and high-quality education that produces highly skilled graduates in their respective fields. The scholarship program provides financial assistance to cover tuition fees, other school expenses, and a stipend for the scholars. Private HEIs students who are awarded the Full PESFA scholarship will receive a total of PHP 120,000 annually, including PhP 40,000 for the TOSF, PhP 70,000 for the stipend, and PhP 10,000 for book and connectivity allowance. The scholarship amount is halved in each offering for the annual Half PESFA, with the amount of the annual scholarship cut in half for each semester. The CHED Scholarship Program is highly competitive, and it is based solely on merit for all applicants. This program provides deserving students with academic and career development support to help them achieve their academic goals and contribute to the country’s development.
Meanwhile, State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) receive a total of PhP 80,000 annually for the Full SSP. This includes PhP 70,000 for the stipend, PhP 10,000 for book and connectivity allowance, and a free TOSF. The Half SSP annual amount is PhP 40,000, with PhP 35,000 for the stipend, PhP 5,000 for book and connectivity allowance, and a free TOSF. The semestral amounts are half of the annual Full SSP or annual Half SSP. The CHED Scholarship Program provides equitable access to quality higher education for deserving students regardless of their economic status. CHED Scholarship 2023 Financial Assistance
Below are the stipends that CHED 2023 scholars will receive to cover their tuition fees, TOSF, and other school fees. The funds will be disbursed every semester throughout the duration of their degree program, either directly to the scholars or through their Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

Eligibility Criteria of CHED Scholarship 2023
To be eligible for the CHED Scholarship 2023, the applicant must be a Filipino citizen who is either a graduating high school student or a high school graduate. For FSSP and FPESFA, the student must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 96% or above, while for half SSP and half PESFA, a GWA of 93% but not more than 95% is required. Moreover, the combined annual gross income of the applicant’s parent(s) or guardian(s) should not exceed PhP 400,000. If it surpasses the limit, applicants can provide written certification or medical findings of family member illness or school certifications of two or more dependents enrolled in college, university, or higher education institution. Lastly, the applicant should only avail of a single government-funded financial assistance program.
Priority Courses for CHED Scholarship 2023
Qualified CHED Scholarship 2022/2023 beneficiaries can enroll in CHED priority courses, which are listed in the CHED Memorandum Order No. 10 series of 2021. This memorandum provides detailed information on the allocation of priority programs, career guidance, and other relevant information. It also includes information on the rationale, the list of priority programs, the repealing and separability clauses, and effectivity.
Application Requirements for CHED Scholarship 2023
To apply for the CHED Scholarship 2023, applicants must meet citizenship, academic, and financial requirements. These include submitting a certified original copy of their birth certificate and high school report card, and original copies of grades for grade 11 and first semester of grade 12 for graduating high school students. Additionally, a certificate of excellent moral character from the last school attended is required.
The financial obligations for the CHED Scholarship 2023 include any one of the following documents:
✔️ Children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and seafarers must present the most recent copy of their contract or evidence of income.
✔️ A tax exemption certificate from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
✔️ The parents’ or guardians’ most recent income tax return (ITR),
✔️ A case study from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), or an affidavit of no income
✔️ Certificate of Indigency from their Barangay
Application Procedure for CHED Scholarship 2023
Follow the steps outlined below to apply for the CHED Scholarship 2023.
1. To apply for the CHED Scholarship 2023, candidates must obtain the “CHED StuFAPs application form” either by downloading it from the CHED website or obtaining a copy from the CHED offices.
2. After filling out the CHED StuFAPs application form, applicants should submit it along with all the required documents to the CHED Regional Offices.
3. After the evaluation process, you will be notified of the status of your application by CHED through a personal call or mail.
4. Applicants should directly submit the accomplished CHED StuFAPS Application (StuFAPs Form 1) to the CHED Regional Office.
5. Those who intend to enroll in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) may submit their StuFAPs Form 1 directly to the concerned SUCs.
